Who we are
Balance Boxes is a youth led registered 501(c)3 that provides students in low-income communities with academic and enjoyable activities. Balance Boxes include books (picture and/or chapter books), educational games, school supplies, a theme-related toy, art project, and game. Boxes are also equipped with an easy to make meal and kid-friendly snack to keep the child engaged in the activity. One of the unique factors of Balance Boxes, is that each student is provided with information to register their child for free one to one virtual tutoring.
Our Impact
Balance Boxes started during the beginning of lockdown due to COVID-19 because many kids are less fortunate and do not have the available resources at home. In the first year of running, we have delivered over 6000 boxes.
Our Vision
Balance Boxes has expanded to many other cities in the U.S. and a few overseas. In the next year, we hope to provide boxes for 10,000 families throughout the Bay Area.
